Vicki Smith is an artist from Harihari, a small community on the west coast of the south island, Aotearoa/New Zealand. She has both an arts and science background. Her art navigates the permeability between visual and virtual, weaving science, the environment and traditional practices into individual work and collaborations. Links to recent projects can be found at www.digitalsmith.nz.
Cid Shearman is an artist and ecologist. Her primary interest is in printmaking and weaving. Her work investigates the natural environment and seeks to highlight ecological issues.
Both Cid & Vicki have worked together on several projects including the painted work on the roundabout of Bolt, Trent and Quarantine roads and the woven work in vinyl Wai~Mahi for the Nelson City Council’s water treatment facility at Neale/Guppy Park.
